Sports Wrap: Blue vs. Red Hoops Friday Night

The Blue Bombardiers girls' basketball team will hope to get back on the winning track Friday night as they take on the rival Red Rocketeers in the Attleboro High School gymnasium.

After their Tuesday game was postponed due to the snow, the Bombardiers lost on Wednesday in Mansfield, 59-51. Attleboro won it's season opener against Stoughton last week, 62-45.

The boys' basketball team will take a short road trip to North Attleboro to take on the 0-1 Red Rocketeers. Like the girls, the boys dropped to 1-1 Wednesday with a 81-64 loss.

Attleboro's loss came after a 60-49 season-opening win over Stoughton.

The Attleboro hockey team will take on North Attleboro Saturday at 2 p.m.

Big Blue is looking to come back from a loss to another rival, Bishop Feehan, Wednesday night in the regular season opener. North sits at 1-1 overall.

The boys' and girls' swim teams both swam their way to victories in the season opener this week against Stoughton. The boys' captured a 53-38 victory and the girls' captured a 59-32 victory.

The Blue Bombardiers boys' fell Mansfield last Friday, 62-32 and the girls' fell to the Hornets, 88-7.
