Bishop Feehan High School Theater Company presents "Fools"

Feehan’s Fools

Bishop Feehan High School’s Theatre Company will present the
comic fable “Fools” by Neil Simon on November 22, 23 &24.  The story takes place in Kulyechhikov, a
small Ukranian village that has been plagued with a 200-year curse of chronic
stupidity that makes everyone as dumb as dirt.
It will be the job of Leon Telchinsky, a newly hired teacher, to break
the curse. No one tells him that if he stays in town for over 24 hours and
fails, he too will become stupid.  To
complicate things, he falls in love with the beautiful Sophia, who, when asked
her favorite color, responds, “Yellow… because it doesn’t stick to your
fingers.”

“The students are working really hard to make this
production successful,” commented theater director Alden Harisson. “It was
difficult for the actor’s to understand this type of humor, but they understand
it now and are doing a great job. In fact, it’s difficult not to laugh during
their rehearsals.  You’d be a fool to
miss this one!”
