  Mike Vrabel will always have a special place in my heart. When Mike first move to Easton, he lived in the condos across from the Baptist church on the corner of Bay Rd and Rockland St. My parents lived across from Mike in the same condo complex. What impressed father is the first question Mike asked him; ‘where is the nearest children’s hospital?’ In reference to any emergencies that may occur. Anyway, my parents were failing in health; my mother was bound to a wheel chair and my father needed a scooter to get around. Well one day my father was going to Shaw’s to pick some things up and asked Mike if he needed anything. Mike replied that he going and he would do my father’s shopping. Upon returning, Mike then refused payment for the items. My parents are both gone now, but I’ll never forget his kind gesture.
