ReplyWhere's the betting window for which local 'pols' will be there, and which will not? Maybe it'll be more interesting as to who the other local 'notables' that are present.
Well, we do need a good dose of interest in this year's municipal elections. -

ReplyI agree that the Dems don't know what REAL success is. However, they do have a definition of it: a radically different one. It is, more or less, "how can we get even more people dependent on we Dems?"
BTW, the MAIN credit for the Mass. RMV office in Attleboro belongs to Bill Bowles,
not the current mayor. -

WOW: "MY BAD"! My arithmetic was way off. 75% divided by fifteen years is only
five per cent [5%] (non-compounded, thus a bit 'off')----NOT 15! Mea culpa; detention is sure to follow. :) -

Darren, Other areas of Mass. is 80% Dem, give or take. Does such "non-diluted
power" mean for better government or better living in such areas other than here?
I don't know: I've only lived here for almost 40 years. But, it's a fair question, eh? -

A relatively latter-day comment, if I may, Bill K.: I was just trying to be fair with the lady. May I say that this "forum" on Patch is a great thing. Why, even now & then,
I find a bit of common ground with many, including you, Bill K., Darren, & Gretchen.
Fair exchange of ideas is a good thing, and this 'forum' provides opportunity for it. -

ReplyI would have voted for Mr. Sheehan, too. But I have to point out that only fifteen (15)
years ago, the local school superintendent was paid $100,000, give or take a bit. That's a 75% increase in fifteen years. All I wish to ask is, should "this job" go up in pay an average of 15% per year? YOU tell us Patch readers, please. -

Yes, it 'could'; but my wager is on either Ward Three Council, or possibly Ward Two Council. The sad thing is that there's more "ho-hum" races than lively ones.
It would be a first, maybe, a school committee seat being the liveliest race in town;
but that's not a bad thing, per se. Yet I predict that the ward races for school committee in Wards Three and Two (as with their ward Council races) will be just as interesting as Ward Four.
