On the Blog Post What's in Your Heart? A Community Blog

ReplyA community bulletin board might work, although I find that there are two or three Seekonks: people with young children who are involved in activities that relate around children, and people of all ages without said young children whose activities take them away from the town and the elderly who gather together whenever they can.
I realize that spirituality crosses all spectrums and maybe that is the tie that binds, but I'm not too sure it is strong enough.
Patch seems to have devolved into a political forum... a voice for those who feel underrepresented in this Commonwealth. I'm okay with that. Although I don't often add to the conversation, I do check in daily to see 'what's up.'

ReplyThis is just too sweet. I agree with Amy, does anyone really care what Joe Joe Joe really thinks... about anything.

ReplyMy plan for tomorrow is to request a ballot for Democratic primary, give Steve Lynch my vote, and hope he prevails although I believe 'The Machine' has anointed Markey the Insipid Part-Time Resident.
Then, when the general election is held I will vote for whatever Republican won that primary.
After all this wasted effort, Markey will win in a landslide in Cambridge, Boston and Malden and Massachusetts will have a matched set with Markey and Warren. What a mess.

Reply@Kim..."...Republicans have run Mississippi for ever..."
Not true. Google 'governors of Mississippi' and you will find that from Jan 2000 to Jan 2004 there was a Democratic governor, and from March 1876 to Jan 1992, all the governors were Democrat. Democrats did a lot of damage in the better than 100 years of governorship.

Twenty more months and you're out, Guv, and the legislators will watch you leave. No one in Massachusetts needs your or wants your $1.9 revenue plan, except maybe the unions who will profit by it... and even then, that might be iffy.

On the article Lynch Bashes Democratic Party Bosses for Backing Markey

"Congressman Lynch voted against The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act when it passed the House of Representatives on March 25, 2010, because he did not believe it would achieve real reform. In a private meeting with President Obama at the White House prior to the vote, Congressman Lynch told the president that he could not support the bill, but if it passed would not vote to repeal it, and work to improve it." Lynch.house.gov/issue/health-care
Now you known why the 'machine' is against him.I'm tempted to vote in the Democrat primaries to help sway things his way. Clearly, Massachusetts will pick a Democrat and I believe Lynch is a man of principle. Markey is just another Warren.

ReplySorry to hear that Dave Parker is ill. Despite the teasing banter that goes on here at Patch, I think most, if not all of us, wish him well.
Good luck on your new assignment... you're starting out with a good attitude.

One thing to remember... Clinton was nearly impeached because he lied, not because of what he did. The current WH administration is nothing but a continual lie... that, plus the four dead at Benghazi is what makes Benghazi important. From who twice gave the orders to 'stand down' to the phony video, Benghazi is a rotten kettle of fish which will haunt us all for quite some time.
