I'm no expert, but Tsarnaev and his mother were American citizens. Tamerian's application was detained due to the pending investigation. I have not heard or read any official condoning some of the assistance received by the family, but most appears to be legal and not just in MA, due to their citizenship. Charges against anyone does not preclude them from the laws of the land. Charges must advance to convictions. We do live in the United States of America and these laws are the foundation of our country, though many need a lesson in history and civics.
Illegal immigrants can not obtain a MA license and In-State tuition for illegals is a 2 year reprieve for those who were children when entering the country out of their own control; Not for all illegals and with many parameters not excluding what legal residents must follow.
So yes, I feel your claims are ridiculous considering the facts.

Your first post you criticized the BOS. This post you denounce all bars in town, yet you claim to have escaped.... I'm grateful for the latter. You sound like one of the trolls on Topix....all complaints, no participation to resolve. Feel free to consider this the proverbial door.

Blah, blah, blah. Did you catch the Stock market yesterday? Have you read the jobs numbers this month? You mean another State just ratified same sex marriage? But the sky hasn't fallen and all the wingnut predictions are still unrealized three years and counting........go figure.

ReplyThanks for the well written article Jeffery. Responding to posts above, I think the BOS did everything in their power that would also stand the best chance of holding up should any of these issues be appealed. As Chaka Khan points out, the penalties are significant enough to provoke a sale, but sales happen everyday and it is not the BOS purview to oversee those transactions, though their intent should always attempt to attract quality business. It is their purview to work within their authority to keep residents and municipal departments safe. In the last two nights the BOS have flexed their muscles as they should.

Trying to comprehend how these thugs come to be? His booking photo depicts a defiant, unmerciful human being, though I doubt he adorned a smile today. Never heard much about this case and hope the perp gets even less attention, but clearly we need to do more to curb the increasing and disturbing violence. Prisons are overburdened and not the answer.
