Looking at their fleet of vehicles it seems everything has been replaced in the last few years. Maybe the city can find a way to bill the water and wastewater departments for $430,000 and $1.3 million in services and take care of the problem.

Dan,
The markings you may have seen at Gilbert Perry Square are Dig Safe marks for work being done to replace a light post that was knocked down six months ago, according to the John Clover, DPW superintendent. Markings along the sidewalks on Mill Street, Railroad Ave. and Union Street is for Phase II Streetscape. The markings are made so that all underground utilities are identified before any digging is started, according to Ron Dubuc, the DPW's assistant superintendent for operations.
