4:32 p.m. Update: The street is open again. The closure stretched from Christopher Drive to Handy Drive. Detective Sgt. Arthur Brillon said it was a two-vehicle crash. Three people were transported to the hospital with injuries. _________ A portion of Park Street in Attleboro is closed as of 4:10 p.m. due to a vehicle crash, a police department dispatcher told Patch. An Attleboro man was taken to the hospital in Rochester, N.H. after he suffered "serious injuries" in a Sunday afternoon crash on Route 16, New Hampshire State Police reported. John Sousa, 65, was driving northbound on the highway in a Ford F-150 that crashed into a southbound Toyota 4 Runner, according to the state police's press release. Police responded to the crash at 3:40 p.m. The release states: As the Ford F-150 proceeded northbound it lost control and crossed left of center lane colliding with the Toyota 4 Runner. The crash caused that section of the roadway to be closed just over an hour while other traffic was diverted. A 42-year-old Seekonk woman was pronounced dead late Tuesday morning at Sturdy Memorial Hospital after crashing her vehicle into a tree off County Street near the Philllips Street intersection, the Attleboro Police Department reported. The woman was identified as Jennifer Mello. Attleboro fire and police officers responded to the scene shortly before 11 a.m. "The vehicle, a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, suffered significant damage to the front end when it came into contact with a tree just off the side of the roadway," an Attleboro police press release states. There was an apparent single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Seekonk on Fall River Avenue. The crash happened shortly before 4 p.m. across from Quality Fruitland, which is located at 1487 Fall River Ave. Witness Tricia Eline, who took the attached photo, said the crash caused a telephone pole to snap and knocked a fire hydrant out of the ground. A vehicle crashed on the sidewalk next to the wrong lane Monday afternoon on County Street in Attleboro. The official with knowledge of the crash was not available for comment when Attleboro Patch contacted the Fire Department. The crash happened at about 2 p.m., a witness said. The Sun Chronicle reported a man and girl were injured.

Two people, including a pregnant woman, were sent to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence early Sunday morning after a vehicle went off I-95 in Attleboro and burst into flames, according to WPRI-TV in Providence. The crash took place at aprroximately 3:30 a.m. near exit 5 on the highway, according to the TV station's website. WPRI reported: The car went off the road, and into the woods before it burst into flames. Massachusetts State Police tell Eyewitness News two people— including a pregnant woman—were taken to Rhode Island Hospital with unknown injuries. Part of the road was shut down while workers towed the charred vehicle from the woods. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

WBZ Radio reported that a vehicle traveling on northbound I-295 near the Route 1 exit in North Attleborough rolled over and landed in the woods at approximately 5:30 p.m.. There was no report of lane closures, but traffic slowed in the area, according to WBZ. The Sun Chronicle reported the female driver in her late 20s was taken to the hospital, but was not seriously injured.

Update 6 a.m. Lt. Tom Dion from the Attleboro Police Department told Patch that one person is dead and another is under arrest from the crash. The investigation continues of the tragic incident on Sunday in which a man was killed and girl was severely injured while crossing a Whitman street when, authorities and witnesses say, they were struck by a pickup truck driven by an Attleboro man. WCVB in Boston reported Monday that authorities had questioned and released the truck driver, 46-year-old Richard Brown. His cellphone was seized and the RMV has suspended his drivers license indefinitely, according to the WCVB. No charges have been filed.
