Cocaine, Marijuana Plants and Cash Found at Home Where Man Was Shot
Police say the victim is in stable condition in the hospital.
Drugs may have been the focus of a conflict that led to a man being shot at his Smith Street Rear home late Sunday night. Attleboro police say they found illegal drugs, marijuana plants and more than $24,000 in cash at the home of shooting victim Michael Briggs. He is in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital, police say. A search for the shooting suspects is ongoing, and police are following "several leads," according to a press release from the Attleboro department. "During the preliminary investigation, officers located a large amount of marijuana as well as multiple marijuana plants in different stages of growth," the press release states. No what us neighbors are thinking is that hopefully maybe now we can get rid of those idiots that live in our normally quiet neighborhood! We have been dealing with this for atleast four years now. It needs to stop!   more ›
