Welcome to the Patch Hockomock League football LIVE blog. The Patch teams in Stoughton, Easton, Foxboro, Wrentham and Attleboro will be bringing you LIVE updates from the Thanksgiving Day games between: There’s so much more than bragging rights at stake this Thanksgiving. Three teams in each Hockomock Division are still alive for a postseason berth—OA, Stoughton and Sharon in the small schools Davenport Division and King Philip, Mansfield and NA in the large schools Kelley-Rex Division. Each Division champion will advance to the playoffs, with the Kelley-Rex champion playing Duxbury in the Division 2 playoffs and with the Davenport champion playing Pembroke in the Division 3 playoffs. Seekonk Defeats League Champion Dighton-Rehoboth Thanksgiving Day

Dighton-Rehoboth may be going to the playoffs over Seekonk, but the Warriors beat the Falcons 12-7 at the opposing team's turf on Thursday afternoon.

On Thanksgiving morning, varsity football Coach Jack Whalen guaranteed Seekonk a win before afternoon turkey and cranberry sauce, sort of. "If at the end of this game, you can look each other in the eyes and say, 'We did our best,' then I guarantee a win," Whalen told the Seekonk High School Warriors as they prepared to partake in a rivalry older than any of the players. Teammates had been fiercely preparing to go up against Dighton-Rehoboth (D-R) for weeks before the game. "It's here boys, we shouldn't have to say anything else!"
