Two people will be selected to fill vacant committee seats.

Two former school committee members, a former selectman and a TV talk show host are among the seven people who have applied to fill the two vacant seats on the Seekonk School Committee. Those who submitted applications are former School Committee members David Abbott and Shane Halajko, former Selectman/Veterans Agent Don Kinniburgh, David Mullen, Bill Woods, Kyle Rose and Jeffrey Starr Mararian. Potential Candidates Enter Seekonk Election

The grandson of a former selectman and a TV talk show host pull papers for April contests.

Election Day in Seekonk is not until April, but potential candidates are already beginning to prepare for the contests. Cavaco has served on the board since he won a special election in August 2008 to …

I have respectfully declined on this event due to MR. Sagar and MR. Blanchard coming up with the idea and hosting the event. I find it to be unfair for candidates to come up with a public debate and expect other candidates to be ok with it. If it was a normal debate/forum I'd go with no problem at all. I hope our residents have been watching tv 9 with meet the candidates, and meet the candidates …   more ›
