After hearing appeals from high schools about where their football teams are slotted in the new football playoffs, the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association football committee gave seven appeals out 10 that was requested, according to a report in the Boston Herald. Changes for Arlington Catholic, Pope John, Matignon, Boston Latih, Diman, Mashpee and Maryland were approved Attleboro will find themselves in Division 1 South, while Seekonk will be in Division 5. With the divisions done, King Philip will find themselves in the 12 school Division 2 South, fighting for a playoff berth against Durfee, Taunton, Needham, Quincy, Barnstable, Braintree, Mansfield, Marshfield, Natick, Wellesley and Duxbury. Bishop Feehan will be playing Dighton-Rehoboth in the Division 3A playoffs Tuesday night at Taunton.
Bishop Feehan High School's football team will play Dighton-Rehoboth in the Division 3A semifinals Tuesday at 7:45 p.m. at Taunton High. In the other semifinal game, Lynnfield will play Amesbury at Lowell's Cawley Stadium at 5:15 p.m. The two winners will meet in the Division 3A Super Bowl at Gillette Stadium on Saturday at 8 p.m. On Thanksgiving Day, Feehan (8-2) defeated Bishop Stang, 32-0, as Matt Allen had a touchdown, kicked a 29-yard field goal, kicked two extra-points and ran for 152 yards. The Shamrocks also got rushing scores from Kehma Johnson, Isiah Douglas and Matt Glebus. Zach Forget caught a two-point conversion from Nicholas Romero and Brendan Mulligan kicked an extra-point.
