Shooting Reported in Attleboro
A man is shot in the abdomen at a home on Smith Street. Animal control removes two dogs from the home during the investigation.
Go here for an update on the story. ****** Police were called late Sunday night to a home on Smith Street in Attleboro, where a man had been shot in the abdomen, various media reported. The man was taken to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown. The incident happened shortly before 11 p.m. Police are searching for a suspect. Various media are reporting that one large dog was removed from the home by Animal Control so that police could do an investigation. A source familiar with the situation told Attleboro Patch it was two dogs—an American bulldog and a pit bull. They are at the Attleboro Animal Shelter. Hi Tori and Muriel: The breeds of the dogs were mentioned because those were the breeds. If they were two Havanese, I would have mentioned that as well. In journalism, we are supposed to be as specific as we can. I did not think of this as an "opportunity to show pit bull dogs in a negative light."   more ›
