Hockomock League Football Recap: Nine Teams Still Unbeaten After Week 2

A recap of Week 2 football action in the Hockomock League.

Hockomock League football teams continued their strong play in week 2, with nine of the league's 11 teams picking up wins. Eight teams have started the season 2-0 and one is 1-0. Week 3 schedule: Week 2 game recaps are below: Davenport Small Schools Division Stoughton 22, Taunton 0 In the only week 2 matchup between Hockomock League schools, Stoughton pitched a shutout on defense forcing six turnovers at Taunton Friday afternoon en route to a 22-0 win. Stoughton, now 2-0, recovered three fumbles (Aaron Mack and Joey Wilder), recorded three interceptions (Andrew Valle, Tim Porter and Malachi Baugh) and scored all 22 points off Taunton turnovers, including 16 in the fourth quarter. Three Attleboro High Football Players Named Hockomock All-Stars

Malique Clark earns double honors by being named a Hockomock League All-Star and an Eastern Mass. All-Star.

Attleboro High's Malique Clark, Brandon Mooney and Zach Morrison were named to the Kelley-Rex Hockomock League Division's All-Star team. Clark was also selected as an Eastern Massachusetts All-Star. Kelley-Rex Division: Franklin-Rhett Davis, King Philip-Joe Cochrane, John Dillion, Jason Litchfield, Nick Lussier, Sam MacDonald, Charles Ruffin, Mansfield-Nick Chiocco, Greg Donahue, Dan Gilmore, Zach Schafer, Blaine Taylor, North Attleboro-Eric Beckwith, Alex Jette and Paul Norris. Davenport Division-Canton-Elias Camacho, Brandyn Sparks, Foxborough-Andrew Bronson, Greg Stamotov, Oliver Ames-Sam Langston, Keith Sullivan, Alex Tapper, Sharon-Sean Asnes, Brad Schiff, Stoughton-Brandon Alves and John Olsen.
