Paul don’t underestimate the people of Massachusetts. When we need them to come through they do. Like when they elected Scott Brown to stop the socialization of our health care system. Unfortunately for the American people, the socialists in Gvm’t still shoved it down the American people’s throats against their will. The press only vet Republicans so it’s up to the small minority of the rest of …   more ›

There was a safety valve, and I used it, that is: the absentee ballot. The day I went, I was the only one, so it was great: no lines, easy at-the-door parking. Now, I'm guessing if more people used the absentee ballot route, and town hall started to get jammed up with folks using this safety valve, the economy of one polling place might be given a second look at. I think there is a clear need for…   more ›

Joe Kennedy III Wins Fourth Congressional District Seat

Retiring Barney Frank will be succeeded by scion of Kennedy political dynasty.

Joe Kennedy III will be a new U.S. Congressman  from Massachusetts. At around 9:30 p.m., the Associated Press called the race for 32-year old Kennedy, who lives in Brookline, as he was beating by a 2-1 margin Norfolk Republican Sean Bielat in the race to represent the redrawn Fourth Congressional District. Rep. Barney Frank, a media celebrity Tuesday night at Kennedy's celebration party at the Newton Marriott Hotel, is retiring after serving the Fourth District since 1981. Yes, the Kennedys are a famous political family, but Joe III especially follows family tradition with this particular win: his father, Joe Kennedy II, served as Congressman from Massachusetts (in the 8th Congressional District) from 1987-1999. And his great-uncle, who …

Democratic campaigners at the Attleboro office for congressional candidate Joe Kennedy III received a Monday morning visit from Gov. Deval Patrick. "We have a record in this president of investing in precisely those things against extraordinary odds—at the worst economic environment in living memory and against united obstruction from the Republicans in the Congress," Patrick said. He said people must vote for Obama and U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren to continue and improve upon the …
