Better Late Than Never for Shamrocks

Second half goals propel Bishop Feehan girls to 2-0 win over Durfee.

Involved in a scoreless stalemate midway through Tuesday's non-league clash with Durfee High School, the Bishop Feehan girls' soccer team wasn't about to push the panic button. Never mind the fact that less than 24 hours earlier it was the same Feehan team that watched as Notre Dame Academy of Hingham scored a late goal to pull out a 3-3 tie, the Shamrocks were confident they'd be able to rebound with a win over the Hilltoppers. They did, as Taylor Levy's goal in the 68th minute proved to be all the Shamrocks would need en route to a 2-0 win over the Hilltoppers on Senior Day at McGrath Stadium. "We've had a lot of games this season that we've won late, no question," said Bishop Feehan coach Phil Silva, whose squad improved to 15-1-1 …

AYS Girls Soccer Continues Winning Streak

U12 Girls Attleboro Soccer vs. Medfield

It has been an unbreakable streak of wins for the girls Under 12 Boston Area Youth Soccer (BAYS) traveling team.   The BAYS engaged in a very intense match against Medfield on Oct. 16.  The Attleboro Youth Soccer team did not let the windy morning at Wamsutta Middle School get in their way of playing hard against Medfield. Attleboro entered the Saturday morning game with an undefeated streak of 15 games, 14 wins and one tie.  Medfield's  record hovers around .500 (one win and one loss). In an action-packed first half, Medfield got on the scoreboard first as Lauren McGilicuddy fed the ball to teammate Kristin Reardon who buried it home.
