If anything, Thanksgiving once again proved how exciting and unpredictable the Hockomock League can be. The League's two playoff teams both lost; Stoughton and Mansfield's long Thanksgiving win streaks were snapped, while Oliver Ames extended its streak; the King Philip/Franklin and Stoughton/Canton games came down to the wire, with the KP/Franklin game being decided in the final seconds, and with Stoughton/Canton being decided in overtime, and Foxborough orchestrated a second-half comeback vs. Mansfield. The other games were blowouts. Thanksgiving marked the end of the season for nine of the teams in the league, but Mansfield (Division 2) and Sharon (Division 3) will head to the postseason, playing in a semifinal game Tuesday night, …
The Attleboro High football team will be traveling to Franklin Saturday for a 2 p.m. game.
Friday night's Attleboro High School football game at Franklin has been postponed until Saturday at 2 p.m. because of the weather. The two teams will be meeting in a Hockomock League Kelly-Rex Division game. Attleboro (4-2, 0-1) is looking to snap a two-game losing streak. The Bombardiers lost to Mansfield and Foxborough after starting the season 4-0. Franklin has a 5-1 overall record and won its only league game this season.

While the games don't count towards league standings, and have little impact on playoff eligibility, Hockomock League football teams got off to a hot start in week 1 of the high school football season, with all teams winning their respective openers with the exception of Taunton (Canton's game was suspended). Malique Clark earns double honors by being named a Hockomock League All-Star and an Eastern Mass. All-Star.
Attleboro High's Malique Clark, Brandon Mooney and Zach Morrison were named to the Kelley-Rex Hockomock League Division's All-Star team. Clark was also selected as an Eastern Massachusetts All-Star.
