Image Released of Man Who Allegedly Used Fake Hundred-Dollar Bills

The bills were used at two local donut shops, Attleboro police say.

Attleboro police  are looking for a man who they say paid or attempted to pay with fake hundred-dollar bills last week at two local donut shops. An image of the suspect from a surveillance video was released Monday morning. Witnesses say he is a white male in his 20s. The first reported counterfeit incident happened Jan. 20 and the second one took place Jan. 21, Detective Sgt. Arthur Brillon wrote in a press release. The serial number on the fake bills is HD25081764B. Anybody with information about the suspect should call the Attleboro police at 508-222-1212.

Fake Benjamins Enter Attleboro

Police say they look like real hundred-dollar bills.

A man with a goatee is allegedly scamming local businesses by using fake hundred-dollar bills that look like real money and pass counterfeit tests. The con is not realized until an attempt is made to deposit the money at banks, according to the Attleboro Police Department. WPRI-TV reported: Attleboro Police Det. Sgt. Arthur Brillon tells Eyewitness News a male in his twenties, with a goatee, who appears Caucasian but who could be Hispanic, passed the fake bills to several businesses, including donut shops. The serial number of the fake bills is HD25081764B.
