Attleboro High Hockey Team Draws Pembroke in Tournament

The Attleboro High boys' ice hockey team will be play Pembroke in the Division 3 ice hockey tournament.

The Attleboro High boys ice hockey team will play Pembroke in the preliminary round of the MIAA Division 3 South tournament Tuesday at Gallo Arena in Bourne at 7:30 p.m. Attleboro is the 17th seed in the tournament with a 9-7-4 record, while Pembroke is No. 16 at 10-7-5. The winner of the game will move on to play top-seeded Medfield (18-1-1). For the complete pairings, go to the MIAA site.

Attleboro Girls Will Host Tournament Game Monday

If they win, the Bombardiers will face North Attleboro in the next round.

The Attleboro High girls varsity basketball team will host Brockton Monday in the preliminary round of the MIAA South Division 1 tournament. Fourteenth-seeded Attleboro (12-10) and No. 19 Brockton (10-10) did not meet during the regular season. The game will take place at 7 p.m. If the Bombardiers win, they will face third-seeded North Attleboro (16-4) in the first round Wednesday. The Rocketeers defeated the Bombardiers 62-49 in December and 61-53 last month. Bishop Feehan will have two teams in the postseason. The second-seeded boys (16-4) have a bye in the preliminary round of the South Division 3 tournament and will play at home in the first round against either No. 15 O'Bryant (12-8) or No. 18 Dover-Sherborn (10-10).  The Shamrocks …

Bishop Feehan Basketball Teams Ready for Postseason

Shamrock boys' will host Bourne, while girls will travel to Natick.

  It's tournament time for the Bishop Feehan basketball team. The Bishop Feehan boys' basketball team will host Bourne Wednesday in the first round of the Division 3 South Tournament. Feehan is the No. 7 seed with a 15-5 record, while Bourne is the 10th at 14-6. The Shamrock girls' basketball team will be traveling to Natick for the first round of the Division 2 South tournament. Feehan is the 11th seed with a 14-6 record, while Natick is sixth seed at 15-5. The winner will be playing Duxbury or Falmouth in the quarterfinals March 2 at 7 p.m. The winner will play the victor of the Dedham/O'Bryant vs. Martha's Vineyard in the quarterfinals. Martha's Vineyard is the No. 2 seed in the tournament with an 18-2 record.

Boston Herald Honors Feehan's Sells

Bishop Feehan's Lexi Sells was named a player of the week for the Boston Herald's weekly top team poll.

  Bishop Feehan's Lexi Sells was selected as the Division 2 girls' basketball player of the year in the Boston Herald's weekly poll. The Feehan senior scored her 1,000th point this season. Bishop Feehan lost to Masconoment, 61-57, in Reading Sunday and after headed for the state tournament.

Feehan's Sells Nominated for McDonald's Game

Lexis Sells was the only female player nominated for the McDonald's game.

  Bishop Feehan girls' basketball standout Lexi Sells was recently announced as one of the 600 nominees for 2012 McDonald’s All American® Games. She was the only female player from Massachusetts selected. The final roster of 24 boys and 24 girls selected to play in the 2012 Games will be announced during the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Show on ESPNU, airing Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. The nominees selected by high school coaches, athletic directors, principles and members of the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee.
