Attleboro Elementary School Schedules Changed
There will be two sets of schedules in 2012-13 for Attleboro's five elementary schools.
For the third consecutive year, there will be a change to the schedules for Attleboro's elementary schools. The School Committee voted 8-0 (Teri Enegren was absent) on Monday for a two-tiered schedule system in an effort to curb long bus rides. This year, all the elementary schools are on the same 8:50 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. schedule. Under the new system, which will go into effect in the fall, Studley and Willett will be open for classes from 8:15 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. Classes at Hill-Roberts, Hyman and Thacher will take place from 8:45 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. Committee Vice Chair Brenda Furtado said she had heard from many parents who did not want the schedules changed again.
