To The Editor: I would like to thank all of Ward 5 for the confidence that you have placed in me. I am honored to have been embraced by the Ward 5 community as a whole. Rich, poor; Caucasian, African-American, Latino, Asian; young and old. The entire community came out to support me. Thank you for electing me your next Ward 5 City Councilor. It is shameful, that the atmosphere which is permeating the upcoming election of city officials has taken a turn for the worse and is being soured by a coward hiding in the shadows. The recent turn of events has sullied my entrance into the political arena. Although, this unfortunate turn of events has muddied the waters, I am more determined than ever to continue, hopefully win, and go on to make a difference for this city. I will not allow this snake of a person to slither back into the bushes or underground where he may continue to poison and contaminate this community. I know that a person of this character can only do these deeds in the cover of darkness. He would dare not show his ugly face for decent people to see. The good people …
