Armed Robbery Reported in Attleboro

The incident was reported at Rite Aid on Washington Street.

Attleboro police are searching for a man who they said stole narcotics Friday afternoon at Rite Aid (1099 Washington St.) after he showed employees a gun and jumped over the counter to grab them. Detective Sgt. Arthur Brillon told Attleboro Patch the incident happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. He described the suspect as a white male in his late 40s or early 50s, about 6 feet tall with facial hair and wearing a baseball cap that said "U.S. Border Patrol." A 59-year-old man was brought into custody by Attleboro police Friday at approximately 4:30 p.m. Brillon said the questioning had nothing to do with the Rite Aid robbery.

Suspect in Attleboro Robberies Arrested

The Central Falls man is captured in Randolph.

Hector Andrade, the 24-year-old suspect in recent armed robberies in Attleboro and Rhode Island, was arrested Friday afternoon in Randolph. The arrest was a joint effort of the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force, the United States Marshal's (Boston Office) as well as the Randolph and state police. A press release from the Rhode Island State Police says Andrade was taken into custody without incident. He is being held by the Attleboro Police Department pending arraignment. Andrade, whose last known address was in Central Falls, is the suspect in the following robberies:

Police Search for Suspect in Gas Station Robbery

The robbery took place at the Hess station on Washington Street.

Attleboro police are looking for a suspect in an early Monday morning gas station robbery. The man may have committed similar crimes in Central Falls and North Providence. Police responded to the reported incident at the Hess station on Washington Street at 1:10 a.m. "Upon arrival, it was learned that a single male suspect had entered the store, had displayed two firearms and had demanded cash," a press release from Attleboro police states. "The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and went behind the building where a vehicle was apparently parked." Attleboro Man Charged with Armed Robbery

A roundup of Attleboro Police Activities Oct. 20 - 24.

Sun. Oct 24:  Justin Smith, 29, of 47 Burgess St. was arrested and charged with armed robbery, walking on the railroad tracks and disturbing the peace. The arrest came after police responded to Bristol Place Corp., located  at 1270 Newport Ave. Stephen Grover Jr.,33, of 1390 County St.,  was arrested at 30 Lord St. for assault and battery. Officer dos Santos and Detective Peavey were dispatched at approximately 10:53 p.m. to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in response to a call about a suspicious knife wound.
