508-222-0019
The city of Attleboro's Russell F. Tennant Water Treatment Facility, named after Attleboro's Public Works superintendent, began providing water treatment services in Attleboro in 1995. The facility was created to meet government regulations. The facility takes raw water from nearby Orr's Pond, screens it, removes materials and pumps it to the treatment process of oxidation, coagulation, floccuation, clarification, filtration and disinfection. The facility is open for group tours during the year. Times and dates are coordinated by the facility's office staff.
