12 Surrounding Fire Departments will turn out to eat wings and benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The event will go until 5 p.m.

Attleboro Farmer's Market

Details:
The Market is located at Fineberg Field in Atttleboro which is at Park (Route 118) and Bishop Streets, between Sturdy Hospital and LaSalette Shrine. Across the street from Bliss Brothers Dairy. It is open every Saturday from mid-June through October from 9 to 1.

La Salette International Cuisine Dinner

Chopstix Auction at South Attleboro Knights of Columbus

The South Attleboro Knights of Columbus Council #5876 will hold a Chopstick Auction on Saturday, September 28 at their hall located at 304 Highland Avenue. The doors will open at 6:15PM and the auction will begin promptly at 7:00PM. Admission is $3.00 and a ‘play all night’package will be available for $20. Free refreshments will be served at intermission. There will also be door prizes and raffles along with a cash bar available all night.

With over 100 prizes being auctioned off everyone is sure to have a great night. As always, all proceeds from this event will go right back into the surrounding community to help those in need.

South Attleboro Village Lions Vendor Fair

Over 30 vendors selling their products on site, taking orders & booking parties for: Tupperware, jewelry, purses & bags, health products, skin care & cosmetics, fragrances, scrapbooking, food-sauces-spices, kitchen supplies, bakery products, candles, wine, photography, honey, giftware & MORE.

Annual Fire Truck Pull at the Comcast Center

When?
Saturday, 10 a.m.

Comcast Center, Mansfield

Details:
The Second Annual Pull to benefit the Special Olympics.

We will have emergency vehicles on display as well as police and fire "specialty vehicles" participating in the event so that adults and kids attending the event can see and have pictures taken with these vehicles. Please feel free to bring a vehicle from your department to "show off" as part of the event.

Also, legendary area strong-man - Justin Sulham - from the "50 Feet Closer To A Cure" (www.50feetcloser.org) organization will be doing a "solo truck pull" demonstration.

We are also planning on having a short "Torch Run" into the Comcast Center to kick off the event just prior to the beginning of the truck pull competitions. We need individuals to run/jog with the group carrying the "Flame of Hope Torch" into the Comcast Center (approx. 1/2 mile). If you, or someone you know would like to participate in the symbolic "Torch Run" please let me know and plan on arriving at the Comcast Center for 9:00AM.

If nothing else, bring your family and friends to the event for a fun day. The activities for the kids, touch-a-truck, police/fire vehicle display and classic car display areas are all free of charge, but donations to Special Olympics are certainly welcomed. So come on out to the event for some good family fun. There will be food and music.
