Viewfinder: Special Volunteers for Attleboro's four-Legged Friends

Attleboro Animal Shelter depends on it's volunteers.

The Attleboro Animal Shelter and its animal control officers rely on the Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter  (FAAS) for  a number of important aspects of the shelter.

The volunteers help by providing  funds to care for the cats since the shelter does not receive funds from the city to care for cats. The volunteers foster dogs and cats, provide important human interaction to improve the animals social skills to the dogs and walk them. Many of the pets have been abused or abandoned, but sometimes they are just lost or in need of a temporary home.

Some pets have ended up in the shelter when the owner is in the hospital and has no one to care for the animals. The shelter is always looking for people who have a few hours to provide Helping Hands for cleaning, Enthusiastic Energy for animal care, Loving Loyal hearts for animals in need and Positive Pride for animals that have suffered too much and are looking for a permanent home. That is the kind of HELP the shelter currently receives and continues to need from volunteers.
