Viewfinder: Eat Simple Cafe Raises Money for the Hebron Pantry

More than $800 will be used to buy $16,000 worth of food.

As we head into National Volunteers Week, we wanted to share ways that some people are working independently to reach a shared goal. The Middle School Youth group from the  hosted their Second Annual Eat Simple Cafe to raise money and awareness of the needs of local food pantries. They designated all the proceeds from this cafe to go to Attleboro's Hebron Pantry.

The buying power that Hebron Pantry has when they shop at the Boston Food Bank is impressive. For every $1 they have to spend they can get $20 worth of food, which has a great impact on the community they serve. Food from the pantry is also donated by local stores such as Target.

The Pantry is open on Tuesday Mornings 10:30 a.m. to noon for the seniors and Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the working person.
