Video: Blessing of the Bikes

Motorcyclists from as far away as Florida to join the annual event that includes a blessing and a 70-mile joyride.

The engines were roaring and faces were smiling on a beautiful and sunny Saturday morning at  in Attleboro, where motorcycle enthusiasts gathered for the fifth annual Blessing of the Bikes.

More than 350 people, traveling from as far away as Florida, participated in the event, which began with a blessing before the bikers set off on a 70-mile journey through 11 towns. Event coordinator Pam Bridges credited the participation increase (the increase from last year was nearly double) to the route being expanded from 20 to 70 miles and the destination/festivities being changed to the Elks Lodge in North Attleboro.

The event raised money for , a local nonprofit that works to improve the lives of people facing economic hardship. Go here to learn more about the organization.
