Bay State Street Machines Donates to Christmas Is For Kids

A local car club donated $500 to Christmas Is For Kids.

Bay State Street Machines donated $500 to the Christmas is for Kids program is Seekonk.

The donation is one of many the group will be making this holiday season as they donate all the proceeds of their weekly car shows and cruise nights to various organizations that give to children during the holidays.

“We donate all of our money to groups that support kids at Christmas,” said Bob Paul, a 25-year member of the organization from Tiverton, R.I.

Bay State Street Machines has been an organization for classic car and hot rod enthusiasts for the past 26 years with members throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. They hold a weekly cruise night every Sunday in the parking lot of Sam’s Club during the spring and summer months.

Paul said the cruise nights often have upwards of 300 people on a good night, and the entry fees go to fund their charitable donations that go to groups such as Toys for Tots, The Hole in the Wall Gang and Camp Hope, in addition to the donations to Christmas is for Kids.
