Will my home sell in the Fall? Is it a good time to buy?

If you list your Greater Attleboro home and price it properly you won't have to wait until the spring to sell it. Homes do sell in the Fall!

Autumn is a pleasant time to make a move. There is a buying push in the fall, up to the time the holidays start. Then it cools down for a bit.

With cooler temperatures and historically low interest rates, house hunting will remain strong.

Sellers responsible for the off peak housing stock may be empty nesters or the unplanned corporate transfers.  Often the best properties of the year arrive in the market in the Fall, as new fiscal year hiring begins!

These sellers are motivated to sell before the winter weather arrives.  Other sellers are carry-overs from the spring market who are now dropping their prices.  Inventory is a bit lighter, but homes that are on the market are by serious sellers with a sense of urgency, otherwise they would not be there. That being said, there are a number of people who will try to buy and settle before the end of the year so that they can maximize their tax benefits.
