Blog: Help Habitat for Humanity Build a New Home in Seekonk

Old Colony Habitat for Humanity is planning for 2012 in Seekonk!

On Christmas Day, I sat in my warm home, thinking about how lucky I am to have a place to call my own.

What were you doing? What is your life like? Are you also lucky to have the comfort of owning your own home?  If so, will you offer a hand to help a less-fortunate family in the area achieve the goal of home ownership in your town in the next year(s)?

We at Old Colony Habitat for Humanity can help you do just that. One family at a time, one home at a time, one community at a time rallying around to help someone who just needs a hand up. This is our mission, and we need your help.

Right now, we are in Seekonk in 2012. We will need all the support you can give, from financial donations to that of your precious time, to help build, or raise funds and/or awareness. While everyone wants to build (there’s something so satisfying about hammering!), we really need more folks who know a lot about public relations and fundraising.

Our board meets every month at the First Baptist Church, 118 South Main Street, Attleboro, at 7 p.m., and the Build committee and the Fundraising/Public Relations committee also meet each month at the church. If you would like to visit with us, please check our Web site for the dates and times: www.oldcolonyhabitat.org.  We’d love to meet you!

In the spirit of the season, thank you for all you have done and will do to help us and others in the coming year.

Public Relations Chair
