Rain Not Expected to Prevent Fireworks Show

The annual Attleboro show is expected to take place Wednesday at 9:31 p.m. as planned.

Rain is in Attleboro's Independence Day forecast, but the skies are expected to clear long before the fireworks show is scheduled to begin at , so the show will go forward as planned, Fire Chief Scott T. Lachance wrote in an email to city leaders.

"I have just finished a phone consultation with the Taunton weather bureau," Lachance wrote. "They are predicting possible passing showers between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. They do not expect any strong thunder storms during this time.  After 6:00 p.m., it should begin to clear gradually."
