Attleboro Goes to the Market

The L-shaped festival of food, plants and other items attracts a crowd of residents and travelers from nearby and far.

It was hotter than you know what Saturday morning, but that didn't stop veterans and first-timers from coming to the weekly event at the parking lot next to the library. The market continues next week and every Saturday (except Sept. 29) through Oct. 27 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

It WAS hotter than you know what!!! But so much fun! AFM has turned into a great community event with more people coming each week. Big “Thanks” to everyone for coming out and supporting local business and agriculture! A few notables: The WIC office in Attleboro will be distributing the Farmers Market WIC Coupons on July 11. Get there early, supplies are limited. The coupons are accepted by all of our produce vendors, please look for the sign. The coupons are only valid for fresh non- processed fruits and veggies only. The Senior coupons should have already gone out. They are good for all non-processed fruits and veggies and HONEY only. Coming up on July 14th: On the Edge Knife Sharpening will be back! Bring in your knives, scissors and garden tools for a nice new edge! Corn on the Cob is here! The tomatoes are not far behind! As you can see by the photos we have a huge variety of produce, freshly picked and unbelievably yummy! New to the market is Massachusetts tapped maple syrup (grade A and B) Fresh cheese, bread and so much more! What are you waiting for? See you on Saturday!
