Hey, last week news about a Mansfield fire station with exposed circuit breaker panel! That certainly doesn't pass any codes and likely a safety and fire hazard. It is still using the old screw-in fuses! Wonder if they have installed smoke alarms yet?
Has it been replaced as yet? We would like to know - at least I would, just for the heck of it!
In Todays paper there was a small article that The Attleboro POlice are looking for info regarding 400+ outstanding warrants. You can see them on their website which is good, but how many people do nt have daily access to the web? Might be a nice civic duty for the Sun Chronicle to list the names on a page in the paper - weekly! How about it Mr. Kirby?? Just asking'!
Busing Costs Rising! Referring to homeless youth, the City is mandated to bus students to other school districts which they left when there families became homeless, and are now living in shelters within Attleboro. would't it be better And less costly to just enroll them in the Attleboro school district and bus them to our schools? Just doesn't make any damn sense to have to ship them to some other town. Even if the state and fed gov'ts pay back part of the costs - When The Get Around To It!

Afghanistan --- What can I say - or not say --- about Karsai not willing - yet - to sign a security agreement with the US/NATO. US Generals - start making your exit plans and start packing at the same time. Too bad - all those lives of servicemen/women and billions of US dollars!!!
The EPA says maybe 7 more years to cleanup the Walton-Lonsbury site!!! Seven years - must be same reason it takes 4+ years to construct a bridge. hen is someone - mayors, reps, governors going to say NO - You don't have Seven Years cowboy! You've got one year, get in there and get it done. Period!
So, any good news???!!! Geez…too bad about the guy who just got off drunk driving probation, went out to celebrate and got arrested for tearing apart the mens room! He was she off by bar tender because he had had enough to drink!!! Screwball!
Good things coming up at our Art Museum. there will be a showcase of art by area youth and the Spring Flower show.
It appeared to me that the Winter Fest was a success. That's always good news. The museum was packed with craft artists and potential customers. bunch of kids were having a great time in the snow globes too. Scorpios, inside the restaurant, was packed. My wife and I decided to go back later after strolling around the Winter Fest activities. There were a few less people then! Great little restaurant here in Attleboro.
Wish there was a coffee shop, more on the Starbucks or (former) Borders Book Store coffee shop in town open more hours than the one across from the train station - Jonathon's - or was that the old name?. The Dunkins and Honey Dews just do not have nice rich coffee to offer, and do not have relaxing atmospheres.
MIAA basketball tournaments now ongoing. Soon Spring sports will be coming to life at area high schools. Looking forward to photographing sports outdoors. There will be plenty of light - for photography without 'noise'! Relating to that, I have been offering a 2hr workshop - "Sports Photography for Parents" for a few months now. I have several pleased parents who are now capturing much better - not blurry or dark images - than previously. Contact me for more info.
My current Intro to Digital Photography, part of the Attleboro Adult Ed program, has 5 students, creating some beautiful photographs. They are learning how to control camera settings instead of shooting on auto and letting the camera control everything. They are learning that the camera cannot give a correct exposure for many scenes.
Anyways we are all having fun!
