HONORING DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.

The St. John the Evangelist School Handchime Choir, directed by Susan Fortin, was invited to perform at the 27th Annual Celebration of The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Holiday at Attleboro City Hall. St. John eighth grader, Christine Schremp was selected as the middle school winner of the "Freedom Summer" Essay Contest sponsored by the MLK Committee of Greater Attleboro. Christine received a cash prize and will have her essay published in The Sun Chronicle.
