Sharon Eagles Girls Soccer Flies Past Attleboro High School Bombardiers

Sharon wins 5-1 over the Attleboro High School Bombardiers.

The celebrated its Senior Day on Friday with roses and punch.

The seniors got the roses. And then five Eagles punched home goals, beating visiting Attleboro, 5-1.

Sharon led 2-0 at halftime. Senior Haley Cremer scored, unassisted, with 28:41 left in the period. Junior Aashna Narang then scored off a corner from classmate Sarah Cotton with 10:46 left.

In the second half, senior Meri Kushner scored, unassisted, with 28:47 remaining in the game. Cotton made it 4-0 on a corner from classmate Meghan James with 17:12 left. And then James scored, assisted by Cotton, with 13:19 left.

Attleboro's Erin Woodhead closed the scoring with about 3 minutes remaining.

Sharon (10-6-2) will play at King Philip at 1 p.m. Sunday, in the Hockomock League Crossover Classic. Tonight's scheduled match at Coyle Cassidy has been postponed to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sharon head coach Jon Lavien said this morning.

Attleboro (2-14-1) will host Oliver Ames at 10:30 a.m. today.
