The Eagles outscored the Lady Blue Bombardiers 16-4 in the second quarter, and 19-8 in the fourth.

"We weren't making any shots early. And then we made some shots in the second period. Third period, we came out and we got a lot of quality shots around the basket, and we just didn't finish. We had layups. And you've got to finish those shots around the basket," Sharon head coach Kate Horsmann said.

"That's the kind of thing that's going to happen. When we make our shots, we're going to do well. And when we struggle from the field ..."

Sophomore guard Karlie O'Driscoll led Sharon with 19 points, including 7 during the fourth quarter. Sophomore guard Andrea Bender had 14, and sophomore guard Lily Abarbanel added 10.

Attleboro was led by senior co-captain and forward Savannah Boyle's 11 points. Sophomore guard Brianna LaPlume added 10.

"Credit to Sharon. they did a nice job pushing the ball on the fast break. We didn't get back in transition defense. No. 10 (O'Driscoll) could do whatever she wanted," Attleboro head coach Missy Traversi said.

"It's really unfortunate, because up until this game, we've been playing pretty well. This is definitely one that got away in many ways. And the girls just didn't take advantage of every opportunity."

Sharon plays at Dighton-Rehoboth at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Attleboro hosts Mansfield at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
