Seekonk YMCA Offers Free Archery Clinic

The clinic is open to children ages 6 and older.

The Hunger Games are coming to Seekonk. The will offer a free clinic June 2 to introduce children ages 6 and older to the sport of archery.

"Archery is hugely popular with young people this year, featured in movies as diverse as the Disney/Pixar animated film Brave, the superhero blockbuster The Avengers, and, of course, the smash hit, The Hunger Games," a press release from the YMCA states.

Certified instructors will lead the clinic, teaching children about the rules of the game, how to shoot a bow and arrow, safety and how to do target practice.
