New Look for Attleboro High Football Schedule

The Blue Bombardiers will play a different type of schedule this year.

This isn't your father's Attleboro football schedule or even your older brother's.

When the Blue Bombardiers take to the field in the fall, they will be looking at entirely different schedule as the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association has a new playoff structure and has reorganized the divisions.

Attleboro is in the Div. 1 South with Hockomock rival Franklin. King Philip, Mansfield and Taunton are in Division 2 South. Oliver Ames is the same division as rival Stoughton and Milford from the Hockomock League in Division 3 Southwest, while Sharon is in Division 3 Southeast. In the Davenport Division, Foxborough and Canton are both in Division 4 South.

Teams will play seven games before the playoffs. If teams don't make the playoffs, there will have other games scheduled to fill the amount of games.

Thanksgiving will stay the same, except this year, it will be Attleboro's second match-up of the season with the Red Rocketeers.

Attleboro will open up the regular season Friday, Sept. 13, against cross-town rival Bishop Feehan. The next week, they will debut their new home field on Sept. 20 against Dartmouth.

After that, it will be the series of Hockomock League games before the playoffs start.
