St. John the Evangelist Students Learn to Build Houses in Attleboro

Students learn that people and creatures need homes.

First grade students ended the year at St. John the Evangelist School in Attleboro learning what it takes to build a house but not for people.

The students read the book “A House Is A House For Me”  and then made their own journal with 10 different ideas of what constitutes a house.

The students were given the opportunity to choose anything except a house for a person. They had to draw pictures to go along with their ideas.

Lastly, the SJE students had had to build a house and write out the steps that they took to complete the project.

The students got to show off their projects to all the first grade parents on the last day of school. Maybe next year, they will learn to build homes for people too.
