Seekonk Student Honored for Volunteerism

Cameron Sears, who just completed second grade at in Seekonk is among 49 Massachusetts students winning a $50 gift card and recognition certificate from Kohl's Department Stores for their volunteer efforts.

Cameron and the other winners have qualified for a chance to win a $1,000 Kohl's Cares Scholarship, which will be announced in July.

The Seekonk resident motivated his peers this past school year when he decided he did not want toys for his birthday, and instead requested people donate to a food drive being conducted by his school. The collected items were given to Doorways Food Pantry
