Seekonk High School Symphonic Band Receives "Grand Championship Award"

Rep. Steven Howitt congratulated band members who performed during a cruise to Bermuda.

State Representative Steven Howitt visited Seekonk High School Symphonic Band students during their summer band camp to present them with a citation congratulating the group on their recent “Grand Championship Award," according to a press release from his office.

The students recently went on a cruise to Bermuda where they performed on the ship in front of a judicator. The students received a score of 98 out of 100 - the highest score of the summer, reads the release.

Representative Howitt said, “I think it’s a wonderful reflection of the students and instructors hard work and dedication to their music. The students really represented the town of Seekonk well.”
