Help Me Get Ready to Read

This FREE workshop is for ALL caring adults who read aloud to children from infancy through their preschool years. Susan Marx & Barbara Kasok want to help you raise reading-ready children who love books and learning by demonstrating how to use reading strategies to read aloud effectively to young children. This interactive workshop agenda includes research on the importance of reading aloud to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, information about early literacy concepts and skills, strategies to use that foster children’s self-esteem, strategies to use to introduce early literacy concepts and skills, criteria for selecting good children’s picture books and recommended books to read aloud to young children.
