David Murphy Launches Campaign for Attleboro School Committee

Attleboro High School graduate hopes to win an Attleboro School Committee seat in November.

Attleboro High School graduate and attorney David Murphy launched his campaign for an at-large seat on the Attleboro School Committee last week. On June 21, more than 50 friends, family, and supporters joined Murphy at as he spoke about the start of his campaign.

Murphy, who is collecting the necessary signatures to qualify for the November ballot, said he wants maximize student achievement, establish schools as the cornerstone of the Attleboro community, and cultivate a constructive relationship with the school administration.

Murphy graduated from Attleboro High School as the president of the student government and Class of 2000. He then graduated from Fordham University and worked as a staff member in the Commissioner’s Office of Major League Baseball, before attending Boston College Law School. He is now an attorney with the law firm Nixon Peabody LLP.
