Bus Schedules to be Released at End of Month

Students aren't roaming the halls just yet, but the Seekonk School Department's main office is busy cranking out schedules, including the bus routes that will take 1,200 to 1,300 students to school each day.

According to Transportation Director Betsy Frey, she is responsible for coordinating bus schedules that will be released at the end of August. Students who live more than two miles from their school are eligible for a bus seat. Today is the deadline for parents to register their students.

Tremblay Bus Co. was awarded a contract to bus Seekonk students. According to Frey, most previous bus drivers were offered positions with the company.

When the schedules are released, parents can find them on the school department's website and on Seekonk Patch. They can also find forms for school bus registration there.
