Briggs for Becky Brings Attleboro Students Together for Good Cause

The Rebeckha Whitefield Foundation's fundraiser was a big success.

Third time was a charm for the organizers of the Briggs for Becky fundraiser, an event that raises funds for a foundation created in memory of Rebeckha Whitefield, an Attleboro student killed in a tragic car accident. 

Hundreds of people attended the Briggs for Becky fundraiser held Thursday at . The event was previously slated for January, but was canceled two consecutive times due to snowstorms. 

"The community support is great," said Tony Lee, a board member of the Rebeckha Lynn Whitefield Foundation. "Every year it gets bigger and bigger, which is important because it helps lots of sports organizations."

Briggs for Becky was hosted by , the restaurant where Becky used to work. 

"She was so energetic," Briggs Manager Angelo Castro said. "Obviously it is a tragic loss, but the help and support for the foundation is what this night is all about."
