Attleboro Whiz Kid: Viviana Hanley

Bishop Feehan Salutatorian Viviana Hanley is a sweeping success scholastically, artistically and athletically.

Award-winner, medalist and scholar this week's Whiz Kid.

Hanley is an Advanced Placement Scholar and member of numerous National Honor societies including: Math, Science, Spanish, History, English and Art. Her skills in writing have been notably honored with the Brown Book Award, and she was a bronze medalist on the National Spanish Exam. In Science, she was awarded Best of Show for the Science Fair and advanced to the Massachusetts Region three Science Fair where she was recognized as First Place Winner. 

Artistically, Hanley has earned first place in the National Junior Duck Stamp Contest. As a senior, she received the prestigious The Boston Globe Gold Key Award for both scholastic art and writing.

On the track field, Hanley raises the bar of excellence and holds a pivotal role. Beginning as a freshman, she has competed in spring and winter track as well as cross-country. Her performances are award-winning and she has been honored with The Boston Globe All Scholastic Award, Eastern Athletic Conference All Star, Massachusets Interscholastic Athletic Association All State Champion and MIAA Division 3 Eastern Massachusetts Champion.

As a natural leader respected and admired by her peers, Hanley was elected president of the National Honor Society, co-President of the Art Honor Society and vice president of the Student Council. She is the former Junior class president and was elected captain of all three of her Senior year sports teams.
