“I live by the motto: If at first you don’t succeed; try and try again, harder," Regan said. The encouragement of his mom and dad is the additional driving force which has pushed Regan to continually look on the bright side of things and work hard in everything he pursues whether it’s school or sports.

Presently, Regan has an impressive 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. This year he received the Academic Achievement Award in English 3 and plans to pursue a 4-year degree with the ambition to become a Bio-Medical Engineer.

Along with Regan’s outstanding academic achievements, he thrives on the soccer field. He is known as an exceptional defender. Each tackle that he makes moves the team closer to a shut out.

Making the  Varsity team as a Freshman was an enormous accomplishment for Regan. Additionally, he was chosen as captain of the team for his Junior year and will continue to hold the coveted spot for his upcoming Senior year. Regan also plays for the Expo’s who scouted him and called him up to play for their team.

Regan was named the MVP by the The Sun Chronicle during the All-Star game in November 2010 and received the 12th Player Award, which was awarded to him by fellow teammates as someone who gives 110 percent on the field every game and practice.

When Mike is not studying or playing soccer, you can find him out at the fields refereeing local games, in the gym pushing himself for his best, enjoying time with his friends around a warm fire or helping out at the Mansfield Children’s Center during its annual Arts Festival.

"I have watched Michael grow to be a very strong and well rounded individual with high morals," referee Chris Vivar said. "When I give him a referee assignment, I know that he will control the game with integrity. I am very proud of him and his accomplishments on and off the soccer field. "
