Attleboro School Committee to Hold Meeting on Superintendent Search

The session will include a review of information obtained through recent focus groups.

The Attleboro School Committee will host a special meeting this Thursday at 8 p.m. to update the public on information obtained through various focus groups on the superintendent search. The meeting will take place at Attleboro High School .

The session will not be happening without controversy, as it was revealed Monday night that not everybody on the committee was pleased with the process. Attleboro Patch will have more information on this later today.

Does the school committee have a different mission statement than the schools or the educators that work for the same town? It seems to me that a few members on the school committee are on a witch hunt constantly and are not helping do anything but try to make themselves look good. To be frank I find Brenda Furtado and Barbara Craw an embarrassment to the city.

I find Dave Murphy the biggest embarrasment Attleboro has ever known. He does not care about the schools or the children. He has tried to stop any progress that good members like Craw, Furtado and Parent have tried to make. He is selfish and will do anything to attack certain members. He thinks he is controlling the School Committee, but the good members will not let him. Again if members do not agree with him he takes a temper tantrum and starts bad mouthing other members. Grow up Murphy, stop using Mommy and Daddy's address, use your own and leave our kids alone.

Dave Murphy up to his antics again!!! He obviously does not care about our schools or the children of Attleboro. His behavior at meetings is a joke. He needs to go back to school and take classes on how to work with others. It is people like him that ruin all the good work our schools have done. Hey Mr. Murphy, why don't you do your job and help our children instead of ignoring them and not caring about the problems in our school. Once again you have shamed our city. First you lie about residency, then you lie about a Superintendent search and now you are trying to create problems once again because SOME committee members want to help our children and schools. How can you look yourself in the mirror everyday? It seems to me you are on a witch hunt. Always attacking Furtado. Are you jealous? Do you envy her dedication? Why are you obsessed with her and trying to ruin her reputation? Can you say need to speak to a psychiatrist.

When will the people of Attleboro learn. Mr. Murphy was elected to protect the Superintendent. He lied, bought food for and manipulated the voters to get elected. We all now see he has not done anything to help our schools. This man should be ashamed of himself. He continues to attack certain committee members to discredit them. By now, we can all see through this and lets put blame were it deserves to be...on Mr. Murphy. He should not be on this committee. He has done nothing to help our schools. All Mr. Murphy is good at is trying to turn the tables and blame someone else for his mistakes. Keep ignoring constituents Mr. Murphy, keep neglecting you promise to work for the children. You should be asked to resign. Just because you a lawyer by profession, it does not mean you can talk your way out of everything. Keep lying to the public and continue to dig your on grave. I am just sick and tired of you blaming other committee members for your own faults. Man-up, grow-up, get out of our children's lives and leave the ones who are working for our children alone. Stop blocking the progress of our schools and attacking other members because of you short comings.

Jack, I could not agree with you MORE, Why theese "power hungry" women continue to try to grab more power is known only to them. Keep up the struggle Mr. Murphy. Truth will win out.
