Attleboro's Robitaille, Cutler Win Hockomock Track Titles

The Attleboro High boys' and girls' indoor track team took part in the Hockomock League Championships Saturday.

 

Attleboro High's Briana Robitaille got her name into the Hockomock League Indoor Track Championship record book Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, tying the league record for the 55 meters in a winning time of 7.33 seconds. She has been the top sprinter in the league this year.

She finished off her big day by finishing second in the long jump at 15 feet, 11 inches.

The Bombardiers' girls' team was eighth overall with 18 points as Oliver Ames won the title with 68 points.

Robitaille wasn't the only Bombardier in the winner's circle.

For the boys' team, senior Kevin Culter took top honors in the high jump at 6 feet, 4 inches.

Mansfield continued its dominance of the boys' indoor championship, winning with 99 points, while the Bombardiers were sixth with 29 points.

Other top performances for the Bombardier girls were turned in by Courtney Daggett tied for ninth in the high jump at 4 feet, 6 inches, Amber Vaillancourt, seventh, shot put, 29-6, while Amanda Ferzoco was ninth in the long jump at 14 feet, 11 inches.

On the boys' side, Ryan Olmo was seventh in the 300 meters at 37:18, Andrew Gulino, sixth, 600, 1:28.91, Eric Harris, sixth, 1000, 2:45/05. Phil Case, tied for ninth, high jump, 5-2, Brian Jarousky, eighth, long jump, 18-5, Steven Gillard, ninth, 18-4.65, and the 4 x 400 meter relay team, third, 3:31.50.
