Attleboro Girls Fall to North Attleboro

Attleboro's Bri LaPlume and Emily Houle have double-doubles in the loss.

Attleboro and North Attleboro battled for the first 24 minutes Friday in the latest edition of a long-contested rivalry, but the girls in blue could not hold on for the final eight-minute segment and lost a hard fought game 62-49.

The loss drops the Bombardiers to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in league play.

At the end of the first eight minutes of play, North Attleboro held a 12-9 lead, and at halftime the score was knotted 26-26. The finish of the third quarter found North Attleboro up by one, and it appeared to be anyone's game. However, the Rocketeers came out strong in the final eight minutes, beating Attleboro down court, and never relinquished the lead.
